WHERE THE STYLED THINGS ARE
Yesterday, what was supposed to be a quick errand to drop off my engagement ring so it can be re-sized turned into lunch and a trip to the electronics store with my fiancĂ© instead. Since Jordan was with us (which meant carrying a car seat and an overstuffed diaper bag—in addition to my oversized clutch), I dressed for comfort with a pair of shorts and swapped out my usual skyscraper stilettos for a pair of wedges. I accessorized by doubling up on leopard in the form of a belt and a clutch, and tossing in some mixed metallics and a bauble ring. Last night, I attended the Fall What to Wear Event at Mockingbird Station. The event, which started with a pre-show mixer and ended with a Fall-themed fashion show (featuring pieces from LOFT, Movida, Francesca’s Collections, Gap, Centre, Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, and Relativity Outdoors) was hosted by six panelists, including Steve Kemble, who’s known as America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru, and benefitted Junior League of Dallas. I ran into Tasha, who owns Imperfect Concepts Boutique, and we spent an hour pointing out clothes, shoes, and handbags that we would love to add to our wardrobe. The show focused on trends like Bold Brights, Luxe Layers, and Enviably Embellished and consisted of colored denim, statement-making accessories, and lots of leopard. @ amiarting: It was about half an inch on my eyebrow. It's still a tad bit visible to me, but you can't really see it on the close-up shots on my blog. It took a week or two to heal, then the scar just started to slowly fade away. Hope that helps.
