weekday wardrobe: fluorescent (finally!)

Contrary to what my three-week absence may imply, I’m not dead. (Obviously.) Nope, this wasn’t an intentional break. Micah and I have finally gotten back into the back-to-school groove, so I’m ready to get back into the blogging-more-consistently groove. I’ve missed blogging. And I’ve missed you guys. So first I’d like to welcome my new followers, lurkers, and commenters. I’d also like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. It’s been over three weeks and sometimes I still can’t believe I’m thirty years old. Exciting! But enough about me—let’s talk about the important stuff. Like the clothes. I wore this to brunch yesterday with Micah and The Boyfriend. I’m not over my obsession with mixing prints just yet so I mixed THREE prints—gingham (neon, no less), leopard, and cheetah. It’s kind of one of those looks that’s cute in theory, but seems a bit…off…in reality. (I think it was the bunching of the top underneath the sweater.) I’d wear it again though. Thoughts?

[words of advice: Don’t be afraid to double up on bright colors; pairing them with a neutral can tame the look and keep it from being too over-the-top.]
