daily duds: polka dots and cheetah spots

While I have nothing against solids, I love a good print. Stripes, polka dots, tribal—you name it, I’m into it. So when I trekked around Dallas yesterday with my two favorite boys, I wore this vintage navy blue polka dot dress (I fell in love with the long hem in the back) and paired it with my cheetah-print heels and a vintage handbag, just like I did the last time I sported a blue-and-white dress. I’ve got a busy week ahead of me (complete with a mile-long to-do list), so I thoroughly enjoyed my carefree Sunday. Micah and I went to visit my parents and, after deciding against stuffing our faces at Taste of Dallas, The Boyfriend and I grabbed brunch at The Blue Goose followed by dessert at the Nestle Toll House CafĂ©. Then we went and bought a new camera (which was one of the goals I mentioned last month) and instead of seeing the latest installment of Transformers, we headed home to watch crappy horror movies on Netflix while eating popsicles and tinkering with my new camera (well, he did the tinkering. I did the eating). All in all, I’m starting the week on a high note, which is how I’m hoping it will end.

  5. You're the second person today who shared a look mixing polka dots & animal print. Now this I can do. Motivation! The long hem add a bit of pizzazz. Purchased a patterned skirt from H&M recently featuring this cut.
