daily duds: in the lime of duty

The thing about having limited funds is that you sometimes have to work with what you've got. I cleaned out my closet this summer, but couldn't part with some things, even though I hadn't worn them in a while. One article of clothing that hasn't seen the light of day in a while is this ruffled lime green blouse I wore today.

This blouse has been in the back of my closet for ages and I haven't worn it since 2007. I remember the last time I wore it because I wore it under a dark brown pantsuit for a job interview. (Yes, really. And I got the job.) Today I wore a pair of navy blue pants and wore the lime blouse under a thin navy blue v-neck sweater.

I added my leopard-print pumps (I. Heart. These. Shoes.) and accessorized with a tan handbag, a tan cluster ring, and stone earrings.

[BLOUSE: Goodwill (circa 2005); PANTS: Dots (circa 2004); SWEATER: Forever 21; SHOES: Bakers; HANDBAG: Vintage (purchased at Goodwill); EARRINGS: Gold Beauty Supply; RING: Gifted]

IN OTHER NEWS: I was featured as the Fashion Bombshell of the Day on The Fashion Bomb. Thanks, Claire!
